One concern about crumb rubber modified (CRM) asphalt often expressed by those in the asphalt industry is the recyclability of asphalt mixtures containing CRM binders. The recycling of reclaimed asphalt pavements (RAP) containing CRM binder is an important issue to investigate because some of these types of pavements in the United States are more than 10-15 years old. The major objective of this research is to identify the performance properties and compositional changes of recycled aged CRM binders.
