David A. Bruce, Ph.D. -- Research Activities Professor Bruce's principal research interests are in the areas of
catalysis, kinetics, molecular sieve synthesis, pollution abatement,
and molecular modeling. Some particular areas of interest include the
development of heterogeneous chiral catalysts that can be used in the
production of pharmaceutical and agricultural products; preparation
of molecular sieve materials using metal complexes or polymers as templates;
development of advanced waste treatment processes, such as sonochemical
