Anthony Guiseppi-Elie, Sc.D. Research Interests: Biotechnical Polymers, Biosensors, and Biochips Professor Guiseppi-Elie’s research interests include chemical and biosensor devices based on redox-active and electroconductive polymers that can be used to monitor human vital signs and physiological condition. In collaboration with Dr. Kilbey, stimuli-sensitive materials that integrate molecular biorecognition and electronic transduction are being developed for novel sensor applications. Professor Guiseppi-Elie’s research interests also include the structure and property relations in polymeric thin films, as well as the surface chemistry of polymers in relation to bio-immobilizations, biocompatibility, and implantable biosensors. |
