MISCELLANEOUS
I served as the accompanying faculty member for a group of
14 Clemson students
participating in the Summer Study Abroad Program at the University
of Bristol, Bristol, U.K. during the summer of 1999.
Received an Outstanding Student Chapter Counselor Award from
AIChE in 1985.
Participant in U.S. Air
Force Summer Faculty Program, June-August 1982, Tyndall AFB, Florida. Did
research on combustion and soot characterization.
The AIChE Student Chapter won a National Award of Excellence
(Top 10%) during seven of
the eight years with R. W. Rice as faculty advisor. Only one
other school in the U.S. had
a better record.
