Getting to Clemson:
Air:  Recommended airport is Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP) (~ 50 miles/1 hr).  From there, a rental car is suggested.
Alternatively, cheaper flights (or better connections) may be available at either Atlanta (~ 2.5hrs) or Charlotte (~ 2.5 hrs).  In all cases, Clemson is reached by taking I-85 (south from Greenville or Charlotte, north from Atlanta) to US 76, from which you can follow the signs to Clemson (also, see below).
Driving:  Most people will reach Clemson from I-85 as noted above.  Exit on US-76, heading west about 15 miles. You will see signs directing you to the Clemson Conference Center and Inn (for the Martin Inn or Madren Center).  For the Hampton Inn or Ramada Inn, continue west on US-76 to the intersection with US-123 (Ramada Inn location).  Continue west about a mile further to reach Hampton Inn (just as you reach Lake Hartwell).
Maps:  Further details and maps are on the university Visitors Welcome Page.
