Engineer(s)
of the year
The South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers
(SCSPE) has honored two Clemson alumni. The SCSPE presented the
2001 Engineer of the Year Award to Anderson M. Kinghorn, P.E., and
named Steven Hendrix, P.E., its Young Engineer of the Year.

Kinghorn, received
a B.S. in civil engineering and an M.S. in environmental systems
engineering from Clemson University. He is Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer at O'Neal, Inc. (Greenville), a full
service consulting, engineering, and architectural firm with
an annual design revenue budget over $40 million. |

Hendrix graduated
from Clemson University in 1991 with a B.S. in civil engineering.
He was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma honorary
societies, and the student chapter of the American Society of
Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is currently active in both SCSPE
and ASCE. Since 1998, Hendrix has been the partner-in-charge
of environmental, health and safety projects with Hendrix Consulting
Engineers in Greenville. |
