Knowles wins ASME recognition

David Knowles, a graduate student in mechanical engineering, received a Best Student Paper Award at the recent American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) international congress in New York. The paper, The Nonlinear Modeling and Identification of Piezoelectric Inertial Acutators, was completed under the supervision of Knowles'major advisor Nader Jalili, assistant professor in mechanical engineering, and Taufiquar Khan, assistant professor in mathematical science.
