The Top-10

For the third time, Clemson's Formula SAE team finished in the Top-10, earning a Spirit of Excellence Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Each year the SAE Collegiate Design Competition puts classroom training into action by challenging students to design, build, and test the performance of a real vehicle in a competitive environment.

Clemson competed with 125 teams from across the U.S. The vehicles are judged in three different categories: static inspection and engineering design, solo performance trials, and high-performance track endurance. The car was designed and built by Clemson mechanical engineering students over the course of a year and a half.
