Pursley selected
for IEEE commemoration
Last year the
IEEE Communications Society celebrated its golden anniversary with
several publication efforts commemorating the event. One is a special
compilation of the top 50 papers that appeared in the Society's
journals during the past five decades.
Clemson's Michael
Pursley, Holcombe professor of electrical and computer engineering,
saw his work included. His Performance Evaluation for Phase-Coded
Spread-Spectrum Multiple-Access Communication-Part I: System Analysis
was chosen to appear in this "Best of the Best" publication.
Pursley's paper first appeared in IEEE's Transactions on Communications,
vol. 25, no. 8, August 1977, pp. 795-799.
