 The
Culbertson Lecture Hall (room 100 in Earle Hall) was dedicated this
fall, honoring Charles M. Culbertson, II (BS ChE
‘71) and his wife, Dianne.
The
Culbertsons have supported chemical engineering through the years
with an endowed scholarship established in 1997. Most recently,
and the reason for the dedication, they have created an irrevocable
trust naming Clemson University and chemical engineering as the
beneficiary. This gift will support the Charles M. Culbertson, II,
and Dianne T. Culbertson Endowment for Excellence in providing unrestricted
funds for the department. These funds can be used in a variety of
ways to enrich the educational experience here at Clemson, such
as graduate student recruiting, seminar speakers, and special lectures.
The
Culbertsons have two sons, Chad (BS CPINSYS ‘00) and Tucker,
who is completing his J.D. degree at University Of California Berkeley.
