Teachers program
The Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films (CAEFF), an
NSF Engineering Research Center with core partners Clemson University,
Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Clark Atlanta University
(CAU), has been awarded an NSF grant totaling $400,000 over three
years to establish a Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) at
Clemson and CAU. The goals of the program, entitled Engineering
Fibers and Films Experience (EFF-X), are to familiarize teachers
with the research process, educate them about polymer science and
technology, and engage them in the transfer of knowledge from laboratory
to classroom.
