Leadership changes

Ann Marie Alexander has been appointed director of major gifts for the College of Engineering and Science (CoES). Alexander holds an MBA in Marketing from Fordham University, and has twelve years of experience in marketing and sales. A decade with Mitsui and Company (U.S.A.), an international trading company, led to her being named senior marketing manager. Most recently she was a demand manager in customer service and planning for Westpoint Stevens. She has a proven track record of building highly profitable partnerships and maintaining excellent customer relations. In addition to her M.B.A., she also has an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke.

Kim Alexander (no relation to Ann Marie, above), director of the Automotive Safety Research Institute (ASRI), has joined the CoES family, with an appointment in the civil engineering department. Formerly housed in the College of Business and Behavioral Science, the ASRI will become the safety research arm of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (Clemson-ICAR). The institute is dedicated to improving the safety of the automotive transportation environment through a systemic analysis of the human-vehicle-road system. Alexander holds an Ed.D., and M.Ed., from Clemson.

Earnest is published by the College of Engineering and Science at Clemson University for the alumni and friends of the College. Subscriptions are free upon request.
