Weather forces banquet cancellation

According to 16th century dramatist, John Heywood, it’s an ill wind that blows no good. But it was a cold, ill wind that swept in an ice storm forcing the cancellation of the 10th annual Clemson Engineering and Science Banquet. This year’s inductees into the Thomas Green Clemson Academy of Engineers and Scientists will be honored next year, with the 2005 honorees.

Mechanical engineering successfully defended their 2003 title! The 2004 ACES Cup Champs are (from left to right) Kim Carpenter; Tiffany Camp; Don Beasley, professor of mechanical engineering; and Dean Lindo.

The ACES (Alumni of Clemson Engineering and Science) Cup Golf Tournament was postponed a week, which apparently gave the mechanical engineering scholars time to get in some extra practice. For the second year in a row, the ACES Cup was taken by the ME foursome.
