Alumni Recognition

   

David Elenz (BS ME ’03), at 23, is one of the youngest members of MB2 Motorsport’s Army 01 Chevrolet racing team. Originally from Gaylord, MI, Elenz now lives in the heart of NASCAR country, near Mooresville NC, and works on the team’s car driven by Joe Nemechek.

As a race engineer for the team he helps keep track of everything the team has learned in the past, so that “…when the right moment comes and the crew chief needs some piece of information, I can just give it to him.”

 
   

Dr. Louis Fay, (M.Ed. Sec. Ed. ’76; M.S. ESE’80; Ph.D. CE ’83) is working on a survey project being conducted in the Cameroon rain forest by the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew, England. Fay is a former professor with the University of Nairobi, where he taught water resources classes in agricultural engineering.

 

 

 

 

Glen McDowell (BS CE ’70), vice president and director of planning for Clark?Nexsen has been honored with the Navy Distinguished Civilian Service Medal, the highest honor a Navy civilian can attain. McDowell has over 33 years of experience with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic (NAVFAC), most recently as director of base development and planning. Clark?Nexsen is an award-winning architecture, engineering, planning, and interior design firm, headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia
