CISCOL a reality

The Clemson Institute for Supply Chain Optimization and Logistics (CISCOL) has now become a reality. CISCOL is an interdisciplinary institute that will provide tangible products and services that support economic development within the state of South Carolina. Theoretical and applied research on integrated production planning, inventory control, scheduling, distribution, and logistics within the supply chain, will be the cornerstone of CISCOL, along with educational activities to disseminate these results to industrial partners. The director of CISCOL is William G. Ferrell, associate professor of industrial engineering. Faculty from the Colleges of Engineering and Science, Business and Behavioral Sciences, and Agriculture, Forestry, and Life Sciences are currently participating.
