National Radio Science Student Award

 
   

Reyhan Gayit, Ph.D. Candidate in electrical engineering, won the student paper competition at the National Radio Science Meeting in Boulder, CO. Her paper, An Analysis of Coupling Between a Whispering Gallery Mode Laser and the Dominant Mode in an Optical Fiber Surrounded by it, was co-authored by L. Wilson Pearson, Gayit's Ph.D. advisor, and John M. Ballato, director of the Center for Optical Materials Science and Engineering Technologies (COMSET).
