How to Apply
If you will be an Engineering incoming freshman at Clemson
University August 2008, we invite you to apply to The RISE Program.
There is a non refundable program fee of $150 to
participate (this fee is NOT due until mid-July; see details below).
It is very easy to apply, just follow the steps below:
- Fill out the Housing Application at the Housing web site: http://www.housing.clemson.edu/.
- On the Housing Application, select that you wish to participate in
the RISE Program. This
will
communicate to the Housing Department that you wish to be part of our
program. Submit the
housing application along with the housing fee in a timely manner.
- Fill out The RISE Program on-line application located at this website.
The on-line application for 2008-2009 will be available November 1,
2007. Get this application in as soon as possible.
We will use this submission date for acceptances.
- Beginning May1, 2008, we will select participants from the pool
of applicants. Participants will be selected based on application responses,
as well as the submission date on the RISE on-line application.
- We will let you know by letter after May 15th if you
are selected. If you are selected, you must sign and return the acceptance
form to reserve your spot in
the
program. If you are not selected, we
will
keep your
name
on
a waiting list. If someone who was selected decides not to participate,
we will accept students from the waiting list. If you are not selected
off the waiting list, the Housing Department will look at your second
choice for housing and attempt to accommodate that choice.
- If you are selected to participate in the RISE program, the $150
fee will be placed onto your overall tuition bill. Do not mail in a
separate check for this fee. You will notice this fee on your tuition
bill.
