Funding Sources

Initial Funding has been supplied by two Clemson University Creative Inquiry Grants, for a total of $20,000 over two years.

Equipment Donors

Sprint Nextel has donated approximately 200 feet of 200 conductor cable for use in fabricating new cables to connect the electronics to the console. Many thanks to Tom Allen for arranging this donation.

The First Baptist Church of Greenwood, SC donated a 16 foot pedal rank (open diapason by Schantz, circa 1948) along with three windchests that were not used in their new organ.

Interested in contributing to the project?

In addition to seeking new funding sources, the CHORD project is also seeking donations of equipment, both organ-specific (such as amplifiers, loudspeakers, pipes, windchests, blowers, etc. in restorable condition) and general woodshop tools (dust-collection system, table saw, planer, jointer, drill press, bandsaw, etc.), since we intend to eventually manufacture our own pipes and windchests. Anyone or any organization interested in making a tax-deductible contribution to the project may contact the faculty sponsor, Dr. William Park, either via email (parkw@ces.clemson.edu), phone (864-656-1032), or snail-mail (William Park, General Engineering, 104 Holtzendorff Hall, Clemson University, Clemson, SC 29634-0902.
