Pedal Stops
The pedal has more ranks (5) than any of the manuals, and is the only section of the organ with a 2' rank (as well as a 32' rank). On the other hand, each rank generates only 6 voices instead of the usual 8 voices on the manuals (only 2 voices for the 32' rank). These, in addition to the large selection of couplers and unified stops (not to mention percussion, which is connected to the Artisan Band Box), make the pedal quite versatile. Note that although the "typical" part played by the pedal is on the low end of the spectrum, the pedals are capable of playing well into the upper range of notes. Also note that although all manuals can be coupled to the pedals, the pedal ranks themselves cannot be shifted up or down (there is no Pedal to Pedal 4', for example). This is standard on most organs.
