Bringing the ranks online.
The Pedals
THIS PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
The Pedal has five ranks, more than any of the manuals, but each rank only provides six voices instead of the usual eight. (The 32' rank only provides 2 voices). Thus there are a total of 26 regular stops on the pedal. There is one rank at 32', 16', 8', 4', and 2', thus the pedal is the only clavier with dedicated ranks at 32' and 2'. (However, the 4' manual ranks can behave as a 2' rank with the 4' coupler on, and the 16' manual ranks can behave as a 32' rank with the 16' coupler on.)
Anomalies: (1) There is a unified tibia stop labeled 10 2/3' Tibia Quint, but it is located between the 8' and 4' stops. Either this is mislabeled, and should be 5 1/3', or it needs to be switched with the 8' stop to maintain the organizational structure of the unified ranks. (2) There seems to be a missing stop tab in the percussion section.
In addition to the usual text and photos, there will eventually be sound clips of the pedal stops. Stay tuned.
