Physics Summer School in Italy

Application Instructions

Applications to the program must be made through the Clemson University Study Abroad Program. A link to the application can be found here: Application Form.

Two copies of your application are required. One copy should be sent to Dr. Peter Barnes at the address above for review by the acceptance committee. The second copy, together with a $250 application fee (a check payable to Clemson University), should be mailed to:

The application fee will be returned if you are not accepted into the program.

Fees for 2009:
Clemson tuition for six (6) semester credit hours @ $456/hour:$2,736
Program fees (includes, room, food, local activities):$2,825
International Programs/Study Abroad Administrative Fee:$276
Software License fee:$6
Student Insurance (covers the 1 month of the course only):$32
Total course costs per student (total student payment) :$5,875

These costs do not include transportation to Italy. Each student is responsible for travel expenses (airfare to and from Italy) and weekend expenses which include travel away from the school. The school will provide transportation from Paderno to Trieste for the experimental portion of the course. After receiving notification of acceptance into the program, each student will receive invoices from Clemson University for the balance of the fees.
