Foundation Certification

Foundation Technician

The participants must successfully pass a written exam (two parts). Passing Grade: 80% for each part of the test. The following is a listing of dates for these courses for the 2003 calendar year. If you or someone in your firm is interested in participating in any of these courses, register as soon as possible. Participants attending these courses are highly recommended to have at least six months of work experience in the type of work for which they are seeking certification. Participants working for DOT MUST have the math certification before attending any of the classes. Please contact Mr. Aly Hussin (803-737-6687) for more information. Any participant attending the Foundations school MUST be SC DOT Concrete certified. After September 2001, to obtain concrete certification from SCDOT, attendees must be currently certified as an ACI Concrete Field Inspector - Grade I and successfully complete a training course offered at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. This is only necessary if the attendee is Not Already SCDOT-CERTIFIED IN CONCRETE. Attendees currently SCDOT-certified in concrete do Not have to take further training until recertification is required.
