1.  Payment is due 14 days prior to class date. If payment has not been received within this time frame, the student will be automatically dropped from the class roster.
2.  If you score less than 60/100 on your test, you will not qualify to take a re-test. Students who score less than 60/100 must retake the entire class.

4. Attention New Policy:
   At the start of each course, all course attendees will be asked to read and sign the following form called
   "Application for SCDOT Technician Certification".  If you answer "yes" to Question #2 on this form, your certification will be subject to approval by the SCDOT Technician Certification Board even if you pass the written exam.
   
5. Registration Fees:
   The registration fee must be received at least two weeks before the start of each class. If the fee has not been received by the cutoff date, the participant will automatically be dropped from the class roster.
   
   
6. Refund Policy:
   The registration fee is refundable if cancelation for a registrant is received at least 2 weeks before start of class. Attendees may be substituted.

11. Lodging:
    Sleeping rooms for all classes (except Coarse Aggregate Level 1*) will be at the Comfort Inn. Please make your hotel reservations directly with the Comfort Inn (864-653-3600). Please mention "Asphalt Course" (even if you are coming for Earthworks, Foundations, or Coarse Aggregate) to get the special room rate of $70.00 plus tax per night. All South Carolina State Employees are tax exempt. A hot continental breakfast is included in this price.
    
    *There is no room block for the Coarse Aggregate Level 1 because it does not start until 1:00 pm.
    
    
12. Retesting:
    If a participant does not pass the written exam, but he/she makes a grade of at least 60/100, he/she will be allowed to take a retest. The dates/times of the retest will be provided to each participant eligible to take a retest. The retest must be taken within 30 days of receiving notification of the retest dates/times.
    
    
13. Retaking a Class:
    If a participant either fails the retest or made a grade of less than 60/100 on the original test, that participant must retake the entire class.
