Saeid Bashash, a Ph.D. student in the ME Dept., was selected as one of three "Best Student Paper" finalists during the 2006 ASME IMECE, for his technical research paper on "A New Constitutive Modeling and Control Paradigm for Piezoelectrically-actuated Nanostagers".  His major advisor is Dr. Nader Jalili, a faculty member in the ME Dept.
