Getting Started

If you are new to WebCT, here are some recommendations to get you started.

• Attend an ETS workshop.
• Read the Documentation. The link "Documentation" on the left navigation frame contains links to all supporting documentation distributed with WebCT along with documentation obtain from other universities and colleges that use WebCT. The Getting Started Tutorial is an excellent way to learn WebCT on your own. You may request a blank WebCT 4.1 course to use while you work through this tutorial.
• Think about how WebCT might enable your students to better master your instructional objectives. For example, you may want to encourage student-student communication as part of the introduction of cooperative learning in your course. It may help to brainstorm with a more experienced WebCT designer.
