Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) is a program dedicated to meet
the needs of today's women in science and engineering. An outgrowth
of Programs for Educational Enrichment and Retention (PEER), WISE
has a parallel mission: to increase retention and graduation rates
of qualified female students in the College of Engineering and Science.
This is a 10 year-old
program and one that addresses and assists female students
in technical majors. WISE offers services that promote
success, present career opportunities and provide students
with networking. WISE offers services that promote

mentoring, guidance, counseling and other services
that benefit women in the College of Science and
Engineering. The program puts female students in
contact with other female students in their classes
and with successful women in the workforce. These
personal contacts can not only furnish a great deal
of support as you pursue your studies, but they form
a network upon which to call when launching your
