My Drawings and Paintings
Jim's animats, Shortstuff and Pier, always conspire to cause him trouble, but it is his own fault as he is the one who programs them!
To The Zoo!
I happen to like seadragons which are in the family of sea horses and live off the southern coast of Australia. I also like kelp! This painting is used as the cover art for my lecture notes "Calculus for Biology" currently used in MTHSC 111 at Clemson University. The painting was completed in Summer 2003.
The Software Team Met Regularly!
I like the dragons Dewey and Dagmar which are drawn by the artist Randall Spangler. I always wanted to draw Dagmar in a tree also! This painting was also completed in Summer 2003.
Qait Has Surprised Dagmar!
This painting will be the cover art for my lecture notes on measure theory and integration which is the graduate level mathematics course MTHSC 822 here at Clemson University. This painting was completed in early July 2009. It shows a robotic version of me (note the different colored socks) measuring the tentacle of a giant squid stuffed animal with a ruler. The office in the painting is a simplified version of my real office in the mathematics department.
