Bio: Pingshan
Wang was born in Wushan, Chongqing, China. He received the B.S. and
M.S.
Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Electronic
Science and
Technology of China (UESTC). After completing the
M.S. Degree, he
worked fore In
thstitute of Applied Electronics, China Academy of Engineering
Physics,
where he was promoted to Principal Engineer in charge of high-power
microwave
research activities. He was also a member of the Chinese national
High-Power
Microwave Expert Group. He earned the Doctor of Science Degree in
Physics from Tsinghua University, Beijing,
China in 2000. He then earned the Ph. D.
Degree
in Electrical Engineering from Cornell
University, Ithaca, NY in 2004.
Before
joining Clemson
University as an Assistant Professor in 2006, he served
on the
faculty of Southern
Illinois University Carbondale for 2 years.
