I had Mr.D for latin during 8th and 9th grade at JMB, Jr. (1971 and 72). What a maniac, but what a teacher. He instilled enough into me to gain a full year's worth of foreign language credit in latin at Wake Forest, so those daily exercises definately did their job. My favorite expressions of Laszlo's were: (in Hungarian) (phonetically only) "on-yat-sheg-gat", which we always believed to be unprintable in a family newspaper and the always dependable phrase used to describe a student in the throes of a difficult translation: "what, are you giving birth to a porcupine?" { I still use that one in law practice.} Thanks again for the Proustian moment.
