This program produces text, line-wrapped, indentation-maintained descendant reports.
Its main purpose (for me) is to provide a way to send short descendant reports via e-mail. Also, to post descendant reports on the web in a format that everyone is guaranteed to be able to access. I used to use Brother's Keeper for this, but it didn't do indentation-aware line-wrapping which posed a problem for monitors and printers which generally do non-indentation-aware line-wrapping. I later used LifeLines program pdesc3.ll, but it only provides birth/death dates and places. Eventually, this program grew out of a report that gave details on any one family.
Features worth noting:
drep2.ll -- right-click or control-click this link to download the program.
| Example of drep.ll output: | Note that the notes on individuals read better in reports if they are entered into your genealogy program as sentences. |
