What I'm into...

I'm the genealogist for my extended family. Some of my close relatives are by second marriages which makes for more ancestral lines to cover. I don't restrict myself to just working on ancestors though. In particular, finding the siblings of ancestors is the key to branching out. I like to add cousins into the database. Since in them, we've found someone who may be interested in helping to further research the same ancestral lines. You've at least found someone to share some discoveries with. Even when I get way over in a cousin's branch, I still like to record the parents of spouses who might serve as potential leads for cousins with them as ancestors.

If you'd like to browse my online data starting with me, here's the link: Robert Simms.

Here's a list of my close relatives who can be used to refer to the disjoint ancestral lines that I primarily work on. (maiden names for the women)

Arthur W. Simms,
my father. His ancestors settled into greater Baltimore.

Shirley Harman,
mother of Wayne Simms -- my half-brother. Her ancestors are from the Baltimore area as far as I know. Her last name has also been seen as Harmon; we'll be checking into that. Here's a picture of Shirley.

Joan Larmore,
my mother, with ancestors from Wicomico Co (Walter, Toadvine)

Clarence Horner,
father of Karen Horner -- my half-aunt, with ancestors from Wicomico Co (Horner) and NY or PA (Roy)

Keith Brown,
my half-aunt's husband, with ancestors from Wicomico Co and Somerset Co (Bounds)

Donna Mouritzen,
my wife with ancestors from Denmark, Ukraine, and western Pennsylvania
