If you know anything about the surname ROY...
My aunt's father's mother was
Lillie Mae Roy,
born 12 Dec 1890, d. 9 Jul 1964. She had a brother,
Clarence Roy
born in New York state, who was an ensign in the US Navy. He died 18 May 1927.
They are both buried in Bivalve, Maryland (once known as Waltersville).
The problem is that their father, John Roy whose parents according to a census were born in Pennsylvania, is the only ancestor we have for them. He is also buried in Bivalve, MD. Short of a lucky guess it seems like we're going to have to build the Roy family tree in New York and Pennsylvania to find out who their ancestors were. Or find someone who already has done this.
Among all the names I've collected, especially in southwest Wicomico Co, MD, there are frequently a few branches of the same surname that I don't have connected, but which one would think must be connected. Here I am pointing to the heads of these branches to draw some attention to their disconnectedness. Hopefully, some fellow researchers out there will have connecting information easily at hand.
The links point to ged2html-generated descriptions of the people in my database. Since I registered ged2html these links will remain valid even if I regenerate the web files from a newly exported gedcom file. Except when I delete people from the database -- as I've found out the hard way.
