• Irfanview:  Freeware Windows-based application for displaying images, performing batch conversion, etc.
• VirtualDub:  An open-source (GPL) Windows-based application for viewing video files.  To extract all the BMP files from an AVI sequence (similar to avi2bmp but also works for compressed videos),
  1. Mark the beginning and ending frame of the sequence using the two rightmost arrows
  2. File => Save image sequence
• Latex:  Miktex -- TeXnicCenter -- GSview  (other editors: TexStudio -- Lyx -- Texworks -- WinShell -- LEd)
