Education:
- Ph.D. Yale University (1993)
- M.Phil. Yale University (1993)
- M.S. University of Minnesota (1989)
- B.S. SUNY Buffalo (1986)
Research:
My research area is interfacial hydrodynamics and heat transfer. I focus primarily on air/water interfaces and surfactants. My current projects concern evaporation, heat transfer and gas exchange at the air/water interface, and the statistics of the temperature field at the air/water interface.
Teaching:
I am currently teaching the undergraduate course Thermodynamics (ME 303). See the "Teaching" link above for more details.

My research projects have included studies of:

IR imaging of water surfaces Droplet imaging Drop scavenging of pollutants
Capillary waves Rain Drop induced vortex rings
Drop dynamics Lightning Drop splashes
